Hydration…Part 3

Many immigrants choose to cross the U.S./Mexico border away from cities and towns. This often puts them in the middle of the desert. Aid groups have been placing jugs of water and food along trails commonly used, but over the past decade, there have been people arrested for providing humanitarian aid. They are arrested for littering basically. Yet, they are trying to provide humanitarian aid to those who are struggling and who will die if they do not have water.

In 2019 there were 4 people arrested for leaving water in the desert and they had their case overturned and they were set free. How do we advocate for humanitarian aid so that people do not die of thirst in the desert? How do we work to help more people have access to clean water? We can stop needless death from dehydration or from disease, but will we?
