My kids had their last day of school today. This week the yearbook came home with them. The theme was “Choose Joy.” One of the books is sitting on the table near my computer as I type. The word joy is full of pictures of smiling students and faculty. I find it is a good reminder that as the news cycle continues to feed us what’s wrong in the world, we must choose to find what’s right. We must choose to find the joy in the world around us. It may be in the giggles of a child, like the one I encountered at the store today who was just being silly and it was contagious. It might be the hug from a friend. The smile from a stranger. A flower in full bloom. Where did you choose to see joy today? Where will you find it tomorrow?
