Advent has begun and the waiting and anticipation for the birth of the Christ Child has too. Well, except for the crazy that goes along with December. The birth story of Jesus in Luke 2 begins with the fact that Caesar Augustus called for a census. He told people to go to their home towns so he could count the landowners and figure out how much tax everyone needed to pay. However, this decree from the seat of power and oppression led Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. So what was God up to?
