Faith in the Cracks – Allowing God to seep into the cracks in our lives.

May was crazy with end of school year activities and all that goes with starting summer. But June seems just as crazy busy. As I have watched Gen X content creators talk about summers of playing outside, running feral, drinking from hoses, putting dirt on an injury and walking it off, and playing until the street lights came on, I realize that was my childhood and sadly that is not the world we live in. Most families have 2 working parents and so kids are in day care and camps to keep them supervised and active. I love the camps that my kids get to attend. I have no doubt they will have a great summer, but it makes me a bit melancholy that life in general has become so regimented and scheduled. Perhaps our society needs to stop for a moment and practice a pause.
